Fun weekend with the checkouts, and as always the opportunity to harmonize with my colleague Mr. Falardeau was a welcome bonus (to the two of us, anyway, if not to the assembled divers).

For those who would like to sing along at the NEXT checkouts, here are the lyrics to one of the weekend's most requested acapella hits:

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost.

The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan
The Skipper too,
The millionaire and his wife,
The movie star
The professor and Mary Ann,
Here on Gilligans Isle.

So this is the talel of the castways,
They're here for a long, long time,
They'll have to make the best of things,
It's an uphill climb.

The first mate and the Skipper too,
Will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable,
In their tropic island nest.

No phone, no lights no motor cars,
Not a single luxury,
Like Robinson Crusoe,
As primitive as can be.

So join us here each week my friends,
You're sure to get a smile,
From seven stranded castways,
Here on "Gilligan's Isle."

Please... I've had to dive deep into my bottle of John Jamieson tonight to forget that particular gem. I wonder if I'm getting PTSD....I distinctly recall that the last barbershop duet we did before heading off to Scorpion's (now there's the name of a bar for James Bond villains) was the theme from Hogan's Heros.

I hear nothing... I want to remember nothing..........

To be honest, Terry and Tom's "harmonizing" is not unlike the film "Gigli" - an artistic endeavour that probably sounded much better as a concept.

Modesty doesn't become you, Terry. We should take our act on the road and do open water checkouts worldwide :D

Hey, I'm with you on that one. Diving, checkouts, harmony, and of course, thought-provoking philosophical explorations of the burning issues of the day, such as: "If such a big deal Jedi Master Yoda is, why a coherent English sentence formulate properly can he not?"

Gigli or Gigi?

Ah... I see Bill has been paying attention to our crowd-pleasing methods :D

I was thinking "Gigli"... the Ben Affleck/J-Lo disaster...as opposed to "Gigi", the creepily pedophilic Vincente Minelli musical.
