What's the Deal on Wreck Penetration Training?

I think I remember that NAUI used to offer a couple of courses at what I believe was the advanced level...wreck survey and wreck penetration. Don't see those around anymore. Is the whole area of wreck penetration now considered to be technical diving by NAUI?

Yes, like Ice Diving and Cavern Diving.. these were all moved to the technical umbrella with the introduction of NTec and all that jazz.

There is still an external wreck specialty course offering which is under the rec umbrella.

There are plans in the works to offer the Wreck Penetration at some point in the next year or so. Yeah....I know........a whole year........sheesh.

All depends on the individual student. But of course, we would prefer it.
