We are long overdue for getting back into dive travel, so we are looking at putting a trip together to Bonaire if there is interest. Likely do a 1 week with an option for a 2nd week if desired.
From people who have been, what is the best time to go there? Anyone have experience with Buddy Dive or Divi Flamingo?

In terms of timing, you want to go after the "rainy" season - meaning November or later, although it's no guarantee... Buddy Dive is probably best for a larger group due to the space in the resort, the variety of rooms or apts for those who like to "bunk up" to save costs, the availability of good rental trucks, the drive through air station, the two good restaurants on site... and the house reef is very nice, nicer than most - got some excellent turtle, octopus and seahorse footage there last year. As resorts go, Buddy Dive is A+, a well run operation. And it's closer to the northern dive sites which are more interesting.

Ok, I am going to look at options for after DEMA, so end of November or early December. We will be looking for 1 to 2 weeks at Buddy Dive Resort in Bonaire. I will post here is a good package is available.

So far, looks like 1 to 2 weeks between Nov. 27 and Dec 18 2010. Rough guess on cost would be between $825 and $1025 USD plus airfare for 1 week.
If anyone in interested or would like more details please let me know.

Looks like airfare will be $1100 to $1200 US but we are still checking options. Likely departing from Toronto.
Airfare shouldn't change much (or at all) for 2 week trip but the dive/hotel packages above would be double the price. I forgot to mention that.

So, at last check, we still don't have final flight itinerary, but cost is now looking like about $990 CAD.
