Just a heads up for those of you that watch your Post Count. We are doing some thread cleaning (not archiving) in the Used Gear For Sale and Gear Wanted forums and deleting threads that are no longer relevant or needed. This unfortunately will change the post count of people who posted in those threads. Sorry about that.

Bill, there is a way to avoid that happening. I did that on the s2k board. I can't remember exactly how, but I can check if this is something you might want to do.

Hmm...... so there is. I guess I should have checked that first.

Small code add-on....... looks simple enough.

Thanks Warren.

Yah, I just found it again. Not complicated. Although I think if you rebuild your counters from scratch it will reset each post count to what's in the database and over-write the existing number.

I added the code, then got DB errors. I will leave the code out. Maybe I should just archive the forums or try to find a way to not have posts counted in the "for sale" etc. forums.

We'll see how it goes I guess.

What errors are you getting?

Do people really care that much about post counts??

Probably not.

What errors are you getting?

It was some odd PHP error that I didn't feel like dealing with so I just removed the added code lines.

I will just not worry about it too much until we get very low on server disk space.
