A good while yet. Late May seems to be when the braver wetsuit divers show up.

Last year in mid-May, the St. Lawrence River was 53F, however, today's dive was about 45F, so we have a little while yet before it'll hit 60F. Last year, the River didn't hit 60 F until mid-June.

In 41F water (mid-April last year), I was ok for 40 minutes in my 6.5 mm wetsuit + 6.5 mm shortie but whether or not you want to go now really depends on your cold tolerance. :) I'm diving dry now.

Patience, young ones water will be in the 60's come June but there's always a drysuit. I was at the quarry last weekend and I got 46?F at the boat and 49?F at the plane. With the warm temperature this week will be in the low 50's by this weekend.
