General-
1. Please don't complain about prices. If you don't agree with a price, simply don't buy it.
2. Any suspected scam should be reported to admin@thescubaforum.com
3. Any posting not deemed appropriate by the forum moderators will be removed.
4. Please note that these ads are posted by private individuals and are not connected in any way with The Scuba Forum (TSF) or Burton's Dive Service (BDS), except where noted.
5. Neither TSF nor BDS or any of it's staff have any interest or responsibility for any items, descriptions, terms, payments or any other aspect of items listed for sale.
6. It is the sole responsibility of the seller and buyer to handle all transactions and to ensure that the goods are as advertised.
7. TSF and BDS will not act as a mediator in any dispute between private parties.
8. For certain products, such as dive computers, regulators, etc, it may also be beneficial to have them professionaly inspected and/or tested to ensure that they are functioning correctly before purchasing (if possible).
9. Purchase and Sell with caution!
10. TSF does not validate any posts, sellers or buyers.
11. Listings may be removed at the sole discretion of TSF without notice or explanation.

Sellers-
1. There is an annual fee of $10 CAD to be able to post in the For Sale forum.
2. Links to auction sites (i.e. eBay) are not allowed.
3. Please post status every week or so.
4. Feel free to "bump" your thread, but no more than once per week.
5. No items that are usually only sold to factory trained technicians (ie. regulator rebuild kits) are allowed.
6. Do not post multiple threads. If you have a current 'for sale' thread, update it with new information. Do not post a new thread for the same items.
7. Listings older than 30 days will be removed if not updated. **Please indicate when your item sells so we can close the listing!**
8. No retailers other than our sponsor Burton's Dive Service will be allowed to post.
9. Payments by Money Order are great for the seller, but risky for the buyers.
10. Credit card transactions are the safest, especially for both parties with companies like PayPal.
11. Upload any gear pictures to the Gear Exchange Photo album. You can paste the photo's URL into your gear post. Because you can edit your own threads, you don't have to worry about getting it right the first time.

Buyers-
1. DO NOT make offers within the thread. Handle all offers with pm's or emails.
2. Know in detail what you are buying, what the shipping costs will be, and get insurance if significant value.
3. Payments by Money Order are great for the seller, but risky for the buyers.
4. Credit card transactions are the safest, especially for both parties with companies like PayPal.
5. Buyer assumes all responsibility for proper use of any item purchased.
6. Buyer acknowledges that improper use of some or all of the items offered for sale on TSF may cause serious injury or death.
7. Buyer further acknowledges that scuba diving, particularly technical scuba diving, carries with it a risk of serious injury or death that may not be avoided, even if the items purchased on TSF are used properly.
8. Buyer shall seek qualified assistance and instruction in the use of all items purchased.

Feedback-
1. If you wish to leave feedback or comment about dealings with someone on this forum, please post them in the Feedback forum.
2. Keep the comment specific to that seller or buyer. Include the word 'Feedback' and the buyer or seller name in the subject so it can, later, be looked up by a search.
3. Feedback conversation is limited to the buyer and seller only.
