Can't post in the picture counting thread

I've tried to post #123 for a over half an hour now, but when I click Post Quick Reply, it just keeps churning away "Posting Quick Reply - please wait". I've tried a few times, but nothing. I've given up. Hope someone else can post in that thread.

I just came in and the clock on the forum was an hour ahead... I posted in the number thread and the clock miraculously wound back... eeeeriiieee... Go try now

I see Alias is now able to post there. I will see if there is something on this end stopping you Scubagirl. Usually when the "quick reply" hangs for me, I need to just get out, and start over (PC at my end).

Had the same issue tonight, but I figured out how to fix it. When it gets hung up, just click the Go Advanced button; the photo will appear in the post preview, so just click the Submit Reply button. Works great.

I've also been having problems off-and-on with posting, and I'm not sure if it's restricted to the picture counting thread. Maybe the where am I thread, too.

IIRC (admitedly somewhat hazy), sometimes the "Post Quick Reply" button will wait forever, but sometimes it won't do anything (neither "please wait" nor even a whirly web browser transaction in progress icon). I think "Go Advanced" worked any time there was a problem, and I tend to use that almost automatically now, hence the fuzziness about previous problems.

Just my $0.02 so that we can accumulate some more data about potential problems.

I had that problem the other day so I started a new browser window and it worked from the new window. Co-incidence? maybe ...

Many times, the inability to post is User End browser issues like cache etc. I do try to keep our server space clean as well, but it is a shared server, and no doubt, that can cause issues sometimes with heavy traffic.

FWIW, it seems to be doing it quite consistently for the last half hour or so. Quick post works, but quick edit waits forever. Advanced edit works, though.
