The shoulder dump valve on my Nomad wing shifted somehow and ended up underneath my shoulder strap and couldn't be used during the dive. Watch out for that! Always check to see that the wing isn't shifted around before diving!

Ivy lea drift wasn't the best place to find out that I couldn't dump air either.. or maybe it was, it was exciting and I learned to use the inflator to dump air pretty quickly :D

Neil, I don't understand the dump valve is under your left hip not under your shoulder unless you modified it and moved it on your shoulder. It has a bend elbow on the shoulder and that should not hinder the dumping of air from the bladder.

I think Neil has his set up 'dillo' style. I have 'lost' the pull cord under the strap or jsut 'lost' it.. but then I could always jsut reach back voer my shoulder to recover the dump string so it wasn't ever an issue.

Yes, I moved the inflator hose to the bottom and use the top as the dump valve.

And it wasn't just the string stuck under the harness, the wing had 'crumpled' or folded or shifted so that the entire round plastic dump valve was under the harness and couldn't be reached.
