Lock 21 Vis is great

I dove at lock 21 yesterday and the viz was about as good as I've seen it there. I was able to see the bottom of the old canal from the top of the lock wall. So you can swim from lock wall to lock wall and have a visual reference. That's the first time I've seen that.

Is that normal for this time of year?

Nope, not normal,

The only time I saw it like that last year was in Dec/Jan
Heading out there tomorrow so hopefully the viz is still good.

Was still unusually good today. You could just make out the bottom from the top, although I'm not sure whether you could still see from wall to wall of the lock. Plants along the dropoff were noticeably green.

Interestingly, it was slightly worse after lunch than first thing in the morning. Current was still there, though. :roll:

Not many people. Max 8-10 cars, and sometimes much less. Only ever met one group under water.
