If anyone is looking to organize a dive on a weekend, I would be interested in joining. I have but 6 dives under my belt and some snorkeling. I would like to extend my experience...

Thanks

Guy

Hi Guy,

I'm looking for a couple of easy dives to get back into the sport. I'm busy this weekend, but available next Sunday 26 August. What end of town are you in, or better question where and what sort of dive are you looking to do? There's lots of good shore dives along the St. Lawrence.

If you are still interested in diving this Sunday, where are you looking at? I am interested in getting out, as is another friend who is just getting back into diving.

Since we did the Rothesay last time, how about the Connie this time? We could meet, say at 9am (or earlier if you prefer) and plan for 2 dives. One could involve swimming a bit upriver and drifting back to add some variety. I am always open to suggestions ....

We can always try to the Lock 28/Connie drift. It takes at least two vehicles. We set up shop at the Connie then drive up stream to Lock 28, then drift the lock and follow through to the Connie; then just do dive two at the Connie. In between dive one and two, we shuttle back to lock 28 to pick up the left behind vehicle(s)

I'm still interested in diving this weekend if you don't mind a rookie tagging along. I expect I'll be a little slow getting geared-up, getting comfortable with the whole thing and I'm sure I'll be an air hog on top of everything else. It's been several years since my last dive.

I have a dive-site map that shows the Conestoga just west of Cardinal off higway #2. I'm in Barrhaven so how much time should I give myself to get to the dive site? I'd guess about an hour, hour and half to be sure.

Dave, I would be careful about posting your cel or other phone number. Just ask people to PM or email you. It is more "secure"

Just to sum up discussions and to confirm, this Sunday (Aug. 26) the plan is to meet at the Connie @8:30am for two dives. See you all then.

Kiabosh warning!!!!!

We have "surprise" guests coming up for the weekend. They are arriving in the next few hours (Friday 9:30 PM), and will be departing at noon on Sunday.

We are trying to accomodate both groups, but the best we can do is meet up with the group at either Lock 28 or the Connie at 12 noon.

Sorry for the short notice. Let me know if you al will be there. If not we'll catch up woth you all on the next one.

Last minute surprises do happen - no worries. We could still be there, at the Connie. You can try calling us to double check. And there is always the next time.
