First dive with the new DSLR and housing

Marie and I took a nice dive at Morrison's Quarry today, so I could baptize the new Ikelite housing for my Canon dSLR. Not bad.... a lot of different adjustments are possible, compared to my old Olympus point-and-shoot. Once I got the hang of playing with shutter speed and aperture combinations, I tried some atmosphere shots... here is one I really liked (larger image at http://thescubaforum.com/photoplog/index.php?n=8):

Tom, are taking the camera with you? It would be nice to take pictures of the cave. I'm presently working on a project to have some goldline donated by the NSS and this would certainly help me greatly and maybe you can have a nice write up with the pictures.

That would be great. A small section of line that kept breaking was recently replaced in Gervais near pool 2.

I'll sleep on it. If I do bring a camera, it won't be the dSLR.... just not the kind of cave I want to risk a few grand worth of gear. Maybe I'll bring the old Oly.... we should to Sawatsky's Delight - I could take some pics of the fossils.......

Tell you what, buddy - contact us via PM or email and maybe we can meet and make this a group project. There are so few of us diving these caves that we should all pitch in and preserve/secure our passion. Considering the effort of securely installing gold kernmantle, help laying the bloody thing would do wonders. :D
