I lost my camera in the Daryaw yesterday around 6pm. Well I hope it's *in* the Daryaw and not outside it. The last place I saw it was in the rooms at the bow, specifically the room at the top (actually the bottom since the ship is upside down). I took a picture, then clipped it back off, and then later after going to the engine room and preparing to pick my stage bottles back up, noticed it was gone. :(

Was your name on it anywhere? Maybe some other diver took it, though I can't think of why someone would do such a thing. Were there any other divers on the wreck at that time? That really sucks about the camera.

Most important, had you already deleted the images of you, the camel, the melon, the feather duster and the Swedish appliance?

I went back to look for it again today and didn't see it any of the places I was hoping it might have gotten hooked on something.

No, my name isn't on it.. but no one else was there at the time anyway. Since I didn't see it inside the wreck or while drifting downstream from the wreck for 15 minutes, it's probably miles and miles away by now. I don't think any divers were even on the daryaw between when I lost it last night and when I got back there today.

The only sensitive pictures on the camera were of the brockmere cliffs shore-dive-the-daryaw entrance. But I think after doing that 3-hour dive + hike + mountain climb dive two days in a row, I've had enough of that shore dive and don't mind so much if someone steals my special entry spot.

It was a 4megapixel camera in an ikelite housing. Oh well at least I didn't have a fancy expensive lens or strobes. I'm going back to the Daryaw again tomorrow (this time from a charter boat) and I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone sees it floating around.

Damn, that hurts. I watched a Canon powershot spiral down into the blue in Belize earlier this year, and that was bad enough.
