To all my cave diving buddies...I've got some really bad news Telford spring has now been closed.

There's a bit of confusion going on about the Telford situation. Some websites will tell you that all the land around the spring, except the spring itself has been taken over by the SRWMD.... some say the State has taken over everything... whatever.

I hope it ends up becoming a State Park - it'll become more attractive to divers (read no more subhuman white trash polluting the site with empty booze bottles/cans, used condoms and an IQ in the low 20s), and safer for all - considering the dead bodies that have materialized around the site lately.

Sure you can't scooter or dive solo in some State Parks like Peac0ck, but tell me you've never felt totally safe there; tell me you've found piles of trash, broken bottles and latex reservoirs of STDs there. Heck, I'll take the restrictions to enjoy a worry-free dive. And State Park status doesn't automatically mean no scootering: I provide Manatee as an example.

Anyways, the Telford situation is like Little River: wait and see. Takeover by the State can only make it better.

No solo diving is irritating. Glad I have access to lots of like minded buddies to same cave team dive.
